GETTING STARTED

Halo Documentation

Halo is a Chrome extension by ScarCity Labs that injects a toolbar directly into app.hyperliquid.xyz. Every install includes three AI co-pilots (HyperClaude, HyperGPT, HyperGrok), seven standalone addons, five arcade games, and an Addon Manager to customize which tools appear in your toolbar. Builders can submit their own addons and earn tips from users.

Installation

Now live on the Chrome Web Store. Install Halo in one click at the store. No developer mode required.
1
Install from Chrome Web Store
Click Add to Chrome on the Chrome Web Store listing. Halo installs automatically.
2
Open Hyperliquid
Navigate to app.hyperliquid.xyz. The Halo toolbar appears at the top of the page automatically.
3
Accept Terms
A one-time Terms of Service prompt appears on first load. Read and accept to continue.
4
Activate Halo
Open any addon and click Activate Halo. This approves Halo's 0.055% builder fee on your trades — the only way Halo earns revenue. In return you get every addon free. 98% of fees burn $HYPE. Takes 30 seconds. You sign once, it's permanent.
Manual install: If you prefer, you can also download the extension zip from scarcitylabs.io, unzip it, and load it via chrome://extensions in Developer Mode.

API Key Setup

Halo's three AI co-pilots each use a separate API key from their respective provider. All keys are stored locally in chrome.storage.local and sent directly from your browser to the AI provider — they never touch ScarCity servers.

AddonProviderKey formatGet key at
HyperClaudeAnthropicsk-ant-...console.anthropic.com
HyperGPTOpenAIsk-...platform.openai.com/api-keys
HyperGrokxAIxai-...console.x.ai

All three key fields are in the Profile panel. Keys are saved once and pre-filled automatically on every subsequent visit.

1
Get an Anthropic API key
Sign up at console.anthropic.com. Go to API Keys and create a new key — it starts with sk-ant-.
2
Open the Profile panel
In the Halo bar on Hyperliquid, click Profile on the right side of the bar.
3
Paste and save
Paste your key and click Save Key. The indicator turns green when saved. TrendAI, Pulse, Alerts AI, and Learn are now active.
Cost: Halo uses Claude Haiku for all AI calls — the most affordable Anthropic model. Typical usage costs a few cents per day, billed directly by Anthropic to your account.
HYPERCLAUDE

TrendAI

TrendAI fetches live candlestick data from Hyperliquid and uses Claude to identify key support and resistance zones, then renders them directly on a chart inside the panel.

How to use

  1. Click HyperClaude in the Halo bar, then TrendAI
  2. Select a coin and timeframe (15m, 1h, 4h, 1D)
  3. Click Analyze Chart
  4. Claude fetches the last 60 candles, identifies zones, draws them on a chart, and writes a 2–3 sentence analysis
Not financial advice. TrendAI identifies statistical patterns in price history — it does not predict the future. Never trade based solely on AI output.

Pulse

Pulse gives you market context without leaving Hyperliquid. It combines AI-powered news briefings with live Polymarket prediction odds.

Claude Briefing

Click Get Briefing for a bullet-point summary of the most important financial and crypto news from the past 8 hours. Claude searches the web in real time.

Ask Claude

Ask any market question in plain English: "What happened to BTC overnight?" or "Is the Fed meeting this week?" Claude searches and answers with current data.

Polymarket Odds

Live prediction market odds filtered by Crypto, Macro, or All. Click any card to open the market on Polymarket.

Alerts

Set price alerts that fire as browser notifications. Prices are checked every 10 seconds against live Hyperliquid data.

Manual Alerts

Select a coin, direction (above/below), and target price. Click + Set Alert.

AI Auto-Analyze

Click Auto-Analyze Market — Claude searches for current key technical levels for BTC and ETH and automatically sets 4–6 alerts based on support and resistance.

Note: Alerts require the Hyperliquid tab to stay open. They are stored in chrome.storage.local and persist between sessions but will be cleared if you uninstall the extension.

Learn

Learn is an AI trading tutor built specifically for Hyperliquid — covers perpetual futures, leverage, funding rates, liquidation, HL mechanics, and HYPE. Tuned for beginners and intermediate traders.

Quick topics

Click any topic pill for an instant explanation. Covers 14+ concepts including candlesticks, leverage, liquidation, funding rates, mark price, PnL, open interest, order types, and more.

Ask anything

Type any question. Learn maintains full conversation context — ask follow-ups naturally within the same session.

Also in the Education tab of the Explore section at scarcitylabs.io. The same Learn functionality is documented there as an addon in the Education category.
HYPERGPT

HyperGPT

HyperGPT is Halo's ChatGPT-powered AI co-pilot. It runs the same four sub-addons as HyperClaude — TrendAI, Pulse, Alerts, and Learn — using OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini model. Use it if you already have OpenAI credits or want a second opinion alongside Claude.

GPT TrendAI
Live candle data analysis and key level identification via GPT-4o-mini.
GPT Pulse
Market briefing — 4-5 bullet points covering the most important crypto/macro news.
GPT Alerts
Price notification alerts with GPT context on trigger.
GPT Learn
Hyperliquid trading tutor chatbot powered by GPT-4o-mini.

HyperGPT Setup

1
Get an OpenAI API key
Sign up at platform.openai.com/api-keys. Create a new secret key — it starts with sk-.
2
Open Profile → OpenAI API Key
In the Halo bar click Profile. Scroll to the green OpenAI API Key section. Paste your key and click Save Key.
3
Use HyperGPT
Click HyperGPT in the bar — all four sub-addons are now active. The key is saved permanently and pre-filled on every future visit.
Cost: GPT-4o-mini costs approximately $0.15 per million input tokens — typical usage is a few cents per day.
HYPERGROK

HyperGrok

HyperGrok is Halo's Grok-powered AI co-pilot using xAI's Grok-3 Mini. Same four sub-addons as HyperClaude and HyperGPT. Grok has native real-time access to X (Twitter) data, making it especially strong for market sentiment and social signals.

Grok TrendAI
Chart analysis and key level identification via Grok-3 Mini.
Grok Pulse
Market briefing with real-time web and X data access.
Grok Alerts
Price alerts with Grok context on trigger.
Grok Learn
Hyperliquid trading tutor powered by Grok-3 Mini.

HyperGrok Setup

1
Get an xAI API key
Sign up at console.x.ai with your X account. Create an API key — it starts with xai-. Add credits to your team (xAI has no free tier).
2
Open Profile → xAI API Key
In the Halo bar click Profile. Scroll to the blue xAI API Key section. Paste your key and click Save Key.
3
Use HyperGrok
Click HyperGrok in the bar — all four sub-addons are now active.
Note: xAI requires a paid plan with credits before API calls work. Add billing at console.x.ai.
STANDALONE ADDONS

FundFlux

Funding rate for the pair you're currently viewing sits in the Halo bar — always visible, no clicks required. Positive rate in red (longs paying), negative in green (shorts paying).

Open the panel for four tabs. FundFlux remembers your last selected tab, coins, and range — no reloading from scratch every time you open it.

RATES — Multi-line historical chart for up to 10 HL perps simultaneously. Toggle any coin on or off. Choose 1D, 7D, or 30D. Hover anywhere to see exact rates at that timestamp. Live table below shows the top 25 coins by funding magnitude, updating every 30 seconds.

Δ-NEUTRAL — Side-by-side annualised APY across Hyperliquid, Binance, and Bybit for 12 major coins. ★ marks the best rate per row. Enter a position size and every row shows your monthly dollar yield. APY is the current rate annualised — rates update every hour on HL and every 8 hours on other exchanges.

COMPARE — Pick any coin and see a 7D funding rate overlay chart with all three exchanges on one canvas. Hover to see per-hour rates at any timestamp. Flags cross-exchange spread opportunities when the gap exceeds 0.5% APY.

STOCKS ★ — Funding rate history and live delta-neutral APY for every market on trade.xyz via Hyperliquid's HIP-3 protocol. Over 60 markets including Nasdaq 100, S&P 500 (officially licensed), TSLA, NVDA, AAPL, AMZN, crude oil, gold, silver, KOSPI 200, and more. Trades 24/7 — including weekends. Use the category filter (ALL / INDEX / STOCK / COMMODITY) to browse by type. Tap "Show all" to expand the full market list. Toggle any combination to chart them together.

BACKTEST — Simulate funding rate collection using real historical rate data. Pick a coin, strategy, and time period, enter your position size and entry fee, and run the simulation. Three strategies: HL Carry (collect funding on whichever side is paying on HL), HL + Binance (shows combined funding if rates are positive on both simultaneously — theoretical upper bound), and HL + Bybit (same model). All HIP-3 stocks and indices are also backtestable via HL Carry — no other tool offers this. Results show a P&L chart, net return, annualised %, max drawdown, gross P&L, and fee cost. HL funding data is sourced from Hyperliquid's on-chain history. Binance and Bybit historical rates are fetched from their official public APIs. Past rates do not guarantee future results.

LiqMap

LiqMap gives you four ways to understand liquidation pressure for any of the top 25 HL perps by open interest. Pick your coin from the selector at the top.

MAP tab

The classic heatmap. Long liquidation clusters below the mark price, short clusters above. Each leverage tier (5x, 10x, 25x, 50x, 100x) shows its estimated price level, distance from mark, and dollar OI at risk. Rows within 3% of the current price are highlighted. The mark vs oracle premium is shown at center so you can see basis pressure at a glance.

EXPOSURE tab

Market context for the selected coin. Shows which side is under pressure (LONGS / SHORTS / BALANCED) based on funding rate direction and magnitude, with a visual pressure bar. Includes total OI in USD, 24h volume, OI-to-volume ratio, 24h price change, annualised funding APY, and mark vs oracle premium with a plain-English interpretation. A signal summary at the top tells you what the data means for the trade — for example: "High long pressure (+47% APY). Longs are expensive to hold. Watch for long flush cascade below mark."

LEVELS tab

All 10 liquidation price levels (5 long, 5 short) sorted by distance from the current mark price — nearest first. Each row shows the direction, leverage tier, exact price, distance percentage, and estimated OI in the zone. Levels within 5% are warning-tinted. Levels within 2% are danger-highlighted with a color border. Total OI estimated in the danger zone is shown at the top.

LIVE tab

A real-time large trade feed via Hyperliquid's WebSocket API. Connected directly to HL's trade stream for the selected coin. The minimum trade size threshold is auto-set from the coin's daily volume (so HYPE gets a smaller threshold than BTC) and is adjustable from $1K to $500K. A live mark price indicator updates on every trade received. Sell-side takers (probable long liquidations) show in red, buy-side takers (short squeeze pressure) in green. Fresh trades glow brighter for 5 seconds. A cascade alert fires when 3+ qualifying trades hit in 30 seconds. The 5-minute stats panel shows total volume, sell count, and buy count.

LIVE tab shows large taker orders, not confirmed liquidations. On Hyperliquid, the trade feed does not explicitly flag liquidation events. Large sell-taker orders during rapid down moves are consistent with forced long liquidations but are not guaranteed to be one.

SignalFlow

SignalFlow is a full technical analysis charting addon built entirely on Hyperliquid's own data — no TradingView, no third-party data feeds. Every candle, every indicator, every price is sourced directly from the HL API.

Chart

Candlestick chart with zoom and pan, crosshair tooltip showing exact OHLCV at any candle, and a coin selector covering every HL perp. Timeframes: 1m, 5m, 15m, 1h, 4h, 1D. Volume bars displayed below the main chart.

Indicators

EMA 20 and EMA 50 overlaid on the price chart. RSI (14) subplot with overbought/oversold bands. MACD subplot with signal line and histogram. Bollinger Bands (20, 2σ) drawn around the price candles.

TrendAI handoff

One-click button sends the currently visible chart and coin directly to TrendAI for AI analysis. Zones, key levels, and funding context are analyzed without having to reconfigure TrendAI separately.

HL-native data. SignalFlow uses Hyperliquid's candleSnapshot API directly — the same data your HL chart shows. No aggregator, no delays, no discrepancies.

VaultView

Your Hyperliquid account summary in the panel. Connect your wallet once and it persists. Shows account value, unrealized PnL, today's realized PnL, open positions with entry prices and sizes, and NFT discount tier.

Wallet connect uses a personal_sign to prove ownership — it never sends any transaction. Your signature is stored locally only.

IntelFeed

New perpetual listings on Hyperliquid appear in IntelFeed the moment they go live — before any social media announcement. Also shows top coins by 24h volume, sourced directly from the Hyperliquid API. No external dependencies, no API key needed.

TaxTrail

Export your full Hyperliquid trade history to CSV in one click. The export is wallet-authenticated — you sign a message to confirm ownership, then the full fill history for your address is downloaded directly from the HL API. Nothing is sent to ScarCity servers.

The CSV is compatible with most crypto tax software including Koinly, CoinTracker, and Tax Bit.

OddsOracle

OddsOracle is a Polymarket wallet tracker. Paste any Polymarket wallet address to see their full open position book — live odds, P&L per bet, portfolio value, and realized vs unrealized breakdown.

How to use

  1. Click OddsOracle in the Halo bar
  2. Paste a Polymarket wallet address (0x format) and optionally add a label
  3. Click Track — positions load immediately
  4. Add as many wallets as you want — all saved locally and auto-refresh on open

What it shows

  • Open positions count, total portfolio value, total P&L
  • Each active bet: market title, YES/NO outcome, share count, avg entry price → current price, cash P&L
  • Realized vs unrealized P&L split in the footer
  • Direct link to the wallet's Polymarket profile
No API key needed. OddsOracle uses Polymarket's fully public data API. No authentication required. Anyone's wallet is trackable.
HALO ARCADE

Arcade Overview

Halo includes five Hyperliquid-themed arcade games. Every game runs in two places: inside the extension panel (accessible from the Games dropdown in the Halo bar) and in your browser at scarcitylabs.io/arcade.

All games use the same high score store (localStorage) so your best runs persist across sessions in both the browser and extension.

Builder opportunity: Every game is open for community builders to fork, improve, and resubmit. If you make a better version of a game, users can tip you directly. Halo takes 5% of tips — you keep 95%. See Tips & Revenue.

How to open games in the extension

  1. Open Hyperliquid with Halo installed
  2. Click Games in the Halo bar (with the dropdown arrow)
  3. Select any game from the dropdown menu
  4. The panel expands to 500px to give the game proper room
  5. Switching to any non-game panel auto-resets the panel to normal width

Browser Play

Every game is playable at scarcitylabs.io/arcade without installing anything. Games open in a modal sized appropriately for each game — portrait games like Dodge and Flappy get a tall narrow canvas, landscape games like Chart Runner get a wide canvas.

Animated live previews run on each game card — the HYPE coin is actually simulating physics on the HyperRider preview card while you're looking at it.

Keyboard controls: Games are built for keyboard-first play on desktop. Touch controls (tap, swipe) are supported for mobile. The extension version works the same way.
NFT TIERS

Tier Overview

Hold NFTs from any of the 10+ verified HyperEVM collections to unlock a discount on Halo's 0.055% builder fee. Hyperliquid's own trading fees are separate and unaffected.

No locking, no staking. NFTs stay in your wallet. Halo performs an on-chain balanceOf check when you connect your wallet in VaultView. Tier is recalculated automatically.

BUILDER PROGRAM

Build on Halo

Halo is a platform — not just an extension. Anyone can submit an addon. Any addon in the store, including the games, is open for community builders to improve and resubmit. The whole point is that you should look at what we built and think "I can do this better."

If you do, and users enjoy it — they can tip you. Halo handles the routing. You keep 95%. That's the deal.

The opportunity:
See a game that could be more fun? Fork it, improve the physics, add a leaderboard, reskin it.
See an addon with a missing feature? Build the feature and submit a better version.
Have a completely new idea? Build it from scratch.

Every approved addon gets a tip button. Users who enjoy it send tips. You keep 95%.

What you can build

  • Trading tools — calculators, position sizing helpers, order flow indicators
  • Market data panels — anything pulling from Hyperliquid's public API
  • AI-powered addons — use Claude via the user's key or implement your own model calls
  • Education addons — trading guides, strategy explainers, quizzes
  • Games — arcade games that live in the Games panel dropdown
  • Improved versions — a better HyperRider, a multiplayer Pong, a more detailed LiqMap

Tips & Revenue

Every addon in the Halo store can show a tip button. Users tap it, choose an amount, and the tip routes to your wallet on-chain. Halo takes 5%. You keep 95%. No application, no approval — you just need a wallet address.

ModelBuilder GetsHalo CutNotes
Free addonNo revenue, but builds your reputation in the store
Tips enabled95% of tips5%Users tip voluntarily. Any amount, any time.
Paid addon80% of revenue20%Monthly or one-time. Coming in a future release.

How tips work technically

When a user tips your addon, the transaction is routed through Halo's smart contract on HyperEVM. 95% goes to your registered wallet address. 5% goes to ScarCity Labs. The user sees a confirmation in the panel. The full transaction is on-chain and verifiable.

No HL builder account needed for tips. You only need an EVM wallet address — any address on any EVM-compatible chain. You don't need to deposit USDC into a Hyperliquid account or register anything. Just put your address in the addon manifest and tips flow to it.

SDK Reference

A full SDK reference with code examples is available at /sdk. The quick overview below covers the key patterns.

Addon structure

An addon is a self-contained HTML panel. It receives messages from the Halo bar and can call the HL API via background relay (handles CORS). It runs inside an iframe inside the extension panel.

manifest.json
{
  "name":    "WhaleWatch",
  "version": "1.0.0",
  "tip":     "0xYourWalletAddress",
  "price": 0, // 0 = free, or monthly price in USDC
  "category":"markets"  // ai | markets | portfolio | alerts | education | games | tools
}
panel.js — calling the HL API
// All HL API calls go through background relay (no CORS issues)
function msg(type, data, cb) {
  const id = "req_" + Date.now();
  chrome.runtime.sendMessage({ type, ...data, _id: id }, cb);
}

// Example: fetch all mid prices
msg("HL_POST", { body: { type: "allMids" } }, res => {
  if (!res?.ok) return;
  const prices = res.data; // { BTC: "95200", ETH: "3200", ... }
  renderPrices(prices);
});
panel.js — calling Claude (user's API key)
// The user's Anthropic key is available in chrome.storage.local
chrome.storage.local.get("sc_key", ({ sc_key }) => {
  const res = await fetch("https://api.anthropic.com/v1/messages", {
    method: "POST",
    headers: {
      "x-api-key": sc_key,
      "anthropic-version": "2023-06-01",
      "content-type": "application/json"
    },
    body: JSON.stringify({
      model: "claude-haiku-4-5-20251001", // use Haiku for cost efficiency
      max_tokens: 500,
      messages: [{ role: "user", content: prompt }]
    })
  });
});

Security requirements

  • Addons may only fetch from api.hyperliquid.xyz and api.anthropic.com (or other pre-approved domains)
  • No external JS imports or CDN scripts — addons must be fully self-contained
  • No access to the user's wallet private key or signing capabilities
  • No persistent external storage — use chrome.storage.local only
  • Hash-locked versions — once published, a version cannot be modified

Submit an Addon

1
Build and test locally
Develop your addon using the SDK patterns above. Load it as an unpacked extension alongside Halo in chrome://extensions to test it locally.
2
Add your tip wallet
Include your EVM wallet address as the tip field in your manifest.json. This is where user tips route. No Hyperliquid account or USDC deposit needed — any EVM address works.
3
Submit for review
Fill in the form at scarcitylabs.io/submit or DM on 𝕏 @ScarCityLabsio. Include a zip of your addon, a description, and the category.
4
Review and go live
We review for security (no external fetches, self-contained, no private key access). Once approved, your addon appears in the Halo explore section under the correct category tab and is available to all users immediately.
Improving an existing addon or game? Submit it the same way, and note in your submission that it's a community improvement of an existing addon. We'll list both versions so users can choose, and both builders earn tips.
REFERENCE

Builder Fee

Halo appends a builder code to every trade placed through the extension. This is how Halo earns revenue — the fee routes to Halo's registered builder address on Hyperliquid's L1.

ParameterValue
Builder Address0x038871Aa70323bea9b58cc93b26638833AF7461d

ChainHyperliquid L1 (Arbitrum domain, chain ID 42161 for EIP-712 signing)
ApprovalOne-time EIP-712 ApproveBuilderFee action signed by user wallet

How fee injection works

page-bridge.js — fetch intercept
// Intercepts all fetch calls to HL exchange endpoints
const body = JSON.parse(options.body);

if (body?.action?.type === "order" || body?.action?.type === "batchOrder") {
  body.action.builder = {
    b: "0x038871Aa70323bea9b58cc93b26638833AF7461d",
    f: 55  // 0.055% — only applied when Halo is enabled
  };
}
Sandbox mode: When the sandbox toggle is on (Hyperliquid testnet), a different builder address is used: 0x7f8a8807b1E42598BaA987407Ec553aD8fBd40AB. No mainnet fees are charged in sandbox mode.

FAQ

Does Halo store my API key?

No. Your API keys (Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI) are stored in chrome.storage.local on your device only. They are never sent to ScarCity servers. All AI calls go directly from your browser to the respective provider.

Do I need to approve the builder fee to use addons?

Yes. Approving the 0.055% builder fee is how Halo earns revenue and how you unlock all addons. It's a one-time EIP-712 signature — sign once, it's permanent. You can revoke it anytime from Hyperliquid. In return you get every addon free, 98% of fees burn $HYPE, and 1.5% funds season rewards.

Can I use Halo without an API key?

Yes. All non-AI addons (FundFlux, LiqMap, VaultView, IntelFeed, TaxTrail, OddsOracle, all games) work with no AI key. You only need keys for HyperClaude, HyperGPT, and HyperGrok features.

What's the difference between HyperClaude, HyperGPT, and HyperGrok?

Same four sub-addons (TrendAI, Pulse, Alerts, Learn), different underlying AI models. HyperClaude uses Claude Haiku (Anthropic), HyperGPT uses GPT-4o-mini (OpenAI), HyperGrok uses Grok-3 Mini (xAI). Use whichever provider you prefer, or all three for comparison.

Do my API keys persist between sessions?

Yes. All three keys are saved to chrome.storage.local after you enter them once. You never have to re-enter them.

Is the 0.055% fee on top of Hyperliquid's fees?

Yes. Hyperliquid charges its own taker/maker fees separately. Halo's 0.055% builder fee is in addition to those. NFT tier discounts apply only to Halo's portion.

Do I need to approve the builder fee every time?

No. The approval is a one-time signature. Once approved, the fee routes automatically on all future trades while Halo is enabled.

What is FundFlux's Stocks tab?

It shows funding rate history and live delta-neutral APY for every market on trade.xyz's HIP-3 DEX — the only exchange that lists 24/7 perpetual markets for US equities, indices, and commodities. Over 60 markets including Nasdaq 100, S&P 500, TSLA, NVDA, crude oil, and gold. These trade around the clock, including weekends when NYSE is closed.

What is the Alpha Season?

A 6-week trading competition running April 12 – May 24, 2026. Points are earned from verified on-chain trading volume routed through Halo. The prize pool is 1.5% of accumulated builder fees. A 5% per-wallet pool cap prevents any single wallet from taking an outsized share. Volume is verified server-side directly from Hyperliquid's API — nothing is self-reported.

Do game high scores persist?

Yes. High scores for all 5 games are stored in localStorage in your browser and persist across sessions.

Can I build an addon and earn tips?

Yes. Submit via /submit, add your wallet as the tip address, and it appears in the addon store. Users tip you directly. You keep 95%.

Do price alerts work when Hyperliquid is in a background tab?

Yes, as long as the tab is open and Chrome is running. Alerts check prices every 10 seconds. Browser notification permissions must be granted.

How do I remove all Halo data?

Uninstalling from chrome://extensions removes all locally stored data. Nothing is stored on ScarCity servers.

What does the LiqMap LIVE tab actually show?

A real-time feed of large trades on Hyperliquid for the selected coin, streamed directly from HL's WebSocket API. The threshold is auto-set from the coin's daily volume — smaller coins like HYPE get a lower default (~$5K) than BTC (~$100K). You can adjust it from $1K to $500K. Sell-side takers (side A) are shown in red and indicate long liquidation pressure. Buy-side takers (side B) are shown in green and indicate short squeeze pressure. These are large taker orders — not confirmed liquidations, but during rapid price moves they are strongly correlated with forced position closes. A cascade alert fires when 3 or more qualifying trades hit within 30 seconds.

How do I see all 60+ HIP-3 markets in FundFlux Stocks?

Use the category filter pills (ALL / INDEX / STOCK / COMMODITY) to browse by type, then tap the "Show all N markets" button at the bottom of the toggle grid to expand the full list. Toggle any markets you want to chart together. Your selections persist even when you switch categories.
