Trading cryptocurrency perpetual futures and other digital asset derivatives is a high-risk speculative activity that is not suitable for all investors. You should only trade with money you can afford to lose completely. Before trading, you should carefully consider your financial situation, investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite.
Halo is a software tool that provides supplementary AI analysis and alerts. It does not manage your risk, protect your capital, or guarantee any outcome. The use of AI-generated analysis can create a false sense of confidence — no analysis tool, AI-powered or otherwise, can reliably predict market movements.
Perpetual futures allow trading with leverage, meaning you can control a position much larger than your deposited margin. While leverage amplifies potential gains, it equally amplifies losses. If the market moves against your position, you can lose your entire margin rapidly. Forced liquidations happen automatically and without warning when your margin falls below the maintenance threshold. Halo has no ability to prevent, delay, or reverse liquidations.
Cryptocurrency markets are among the most volatile in the world. Prices can move 10%, 20%, or more within minutes or hours. Halo's AI analysis is based on historical price patterns and current market conditions — it cannot account for sudden news events, exchange outages, whale manipulation, or flash crashes. Any price level identified by TrendAI or Alerts may be breached instantly without warning.
Perpetual futures positions are subject to funding payments paid between longs and shorts, typically every hour. In trending markets, funding rates can be significantly positive or negative, steadily eroding your position's profitability over time. Halo displays funding rate data for informational purposes only and does not account for funding costs in any analysis.
Trades executed through the Service are processed by Hyperliquid, a third-party decentralized exchange. Halo has no control over Hyperliquid's operations, security, or solvency. Risks include: exchange hacks or exploits, smart contract vulnerabilities, oracle manipulation, platform insolvency, or regulatory shutdown. Halo is not liable for any losses arising from Hyperliquid's failure or misconduct.
Not all trading pairs have deep liquidity. In low-liquidity markets, your orders may be executed at prices significantly different from expected (slippage), or may not be filled at all. Large positions may move the market against you simply by the act of entering or exiting.
The Liq Map feature shows estimated liquidation price levels calculated from aggregate open interest and common leverage multiples (5x, 10x, 25x, 50x, 100x). These are statistical approximations only and do not represent actual liquidation prices for any individual trader. Actual liquidation prices depend on each trader's entry price, deposited margin, chosen leverage, and margin mode. Do not make trading decisions based solely on Liq Map output.
The Portfolio PnL and Trade Export features fetch data from Hyperliquid's public API using your wallet address. This data is for informational purposes only — it is not financial reporting, accounting, or tax advice. The data may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. If you use exported trade data for tax purposes, you are solely responsible for verifying its accuracy and complying with all applicable tax laws. Consult a qualified tax professional for advice specific to your situation.
TrendAI generates buy and sell zone suggestions by asking an AI model to analyze live price data. This analysis is probabilistic, not predictive. The AI may identify patterns that don't hold, suggest levels that are immediately invalidated, or produce analysis that is internally inconsistent. You must never trade solely based on AI-generated analysis.
Large language models can "hallucinate" — confidently stating facts that are false. AI outputs from TrendAI, Pulse, Alerts, and Learn may contain incorrect information presented with confidence. Always verify AI-generated claims through independent sources before acting on them.
AI analysis is based on data that was current at the time the request was made. By the time you read and act on the analysis, market conditions may have changed significantly. AI analysis should never be treated as a real-time recommendation.
The AI models powering Halo are operated by Anthropic. Anthropic may change, update, downgrade, or discontinue their models at any time. Changes to the underlying AI model may affect the quality, nature, or availability of AI-generated analysis without notice.
Halo is software that intercepts and modifies trade requests in your browser. Like all software, it may contain bugs. A software defect could theoretically cause trade orders to be modified, duplicated, or sent with incorrect parameters. While we work to prevent this, we cannot guarantee it. You are responsible for verifying all order details on Hyperliquid before confirming any trade.
Chrome browser updates, conflicts with other extensions, or operating system changes may cause Halo to malfunction or stop working without notice. Do not rely on Halo being available at any specific time.
Price alerts, AI analysis, and market data all require an active internet connection. If your connection is interrupted, alerts may not fire, analysis may not complete, and displayed prices may become stale without indication.
Price alerts in Halo are checked against live prices fetched every 10 seconds. There is an inherent delay. An alert set at a specific price may trigger slightly above or below that price due to polling intervals, and may be missed entirely if you close the browser before it fires. Alerts should not be used as the sole risk management mechanism for any trade.
The regulatory environment for cryptocurrency derivatives is evolving rapidly. Governments may prohibit, restrict, or require licensing for activities you currently engage in. Changes in regulation could cause: trading platforms to restrict access by jurisdiction, tax obligations to change, previously legal activities to become illegal, or your positions to be forcibly closed. Halo does not provide legal or tax advice. Consult qualified professionals in your jurisdiction.
Cryptocurrency trading profits may be taxable in your jurisdiction. Halo does not generate tax reports, does not track cost basis, and does not provide tax advice. You are solely responsible for understanding and meeting your tax obligations.
Some jurisdictions restrict or prohibit cryptocurrency derivatives trading entirely. Using Halo or Hyperliquid in such jurisdictions may violate local law. Halo takes no responsibility for your compliance with applicable local law.
Halo makes absolutely no representation that use of its tools will result in trading profits, improved performance, reduced losses, or any positive outcome whatsoever. Many factors affect trading results, most of which are entirely outside Halo's control or influence. Past analysis, historical backtests, or hypothetical results shown by any feature of the Service are not indicative of future results.
If you are uncertain about any of the risks described in this document, or if you cannot afford to sustain the losses described, do not use Halo and do not trade cryptocurrency derivatives.
